New Radio on the way

Well I have a new radio on the way. I finally did it and purchased the Yaesu FT-2000D with 300 hz CW filter and DSU unit.

Along with that I picked up a Palmar DL1500 tuner and a Hustler 6BTV vertical antenna.

Now I have a pretty good station. I still need an amplifier, and I’d love to get an all mode 2 meter rig, those will come in time.

I will likely have to wait until Friday Nov 13 (ohhh!!) before it arrives, but I have survived this long. It’s kind of like an early Christmas.

I will be reporting more as stuff arrives and I get to try it out. In the meantime I have a new desk already for it when it does. Cheers everyone and have a great weekend and perhaps we’ll meet you on the air.
